You're my type
Hi
Since I left home at a very early age and took a secretarial course this old typewriter brought back some memories. It is from http://cute-cutz.blogspot.ca/
The honeycomb is from Sizzix. The note that says you're my type can be removed. Not much else to tell.
Have a Blessed day.

Silver note card and butterflys
Hi
This is another note card with Perfect Pearls. It shows much better in real life and also with lighter colors and black background.
Have a Blessed day.

Lighthouse and sailboat
Hi
One more lighthouse card, for now. Jackie you will love this one, I think.
This is another cut from http://cute-cutz.blogspot.com/
As you can see, the lined envelope is peeking out from behind.
Have a Blessed day.

You light up my life
Hi
I love this lighthouse svg. How can you tell? It is from http://cute-cutz.blogspot.com/
She has many svgs that I enjoy using. They cut so nicely. She also has a great sense of humour, which matches mine. lol

Just a note
Hi
I totally "borrowed" the idea from someone. I am so bad at keeping track of who and where I see things. If it is your idea please let me know and I will give you credit.
The envelope was embossed with the same music folder and I added a tag for the address. I rubbed a little distress ink over them all to bring out the embossing.
Have a Blessed day.

New to me technique with Perfect Pearls
Hi
I was so excited to see this tutorial on http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
Obviously the cardstock I used reacted to the Perfect Pearls and everything dried really dark. However, if you click on the pic you will see a lot of nice colors. I will be trying this technique again with different card stock. I stamped 2 butterflies and fussy cut them and popped up the wings.
Will try and take a better picture to seeif I can capture the colors better.
Have a Blessed day.

Lighthouse and seal
Yes, another card from the P.O.T.D. But in my defense, the seal is new. lol
The lighthouse is an svg from http://cute-cutz.blogspot.com/ You will probably see a few more light houses.
The seal is from http://creationsbypapasue.blogspot.com/
I love the cheeky face on this little seal.

Swing cards with dogwood, Cindy Lou cart plus one more
I made three swing cards because they are so much fun and I had bits and pieces left over in the P.O.T.D. . I just hate to throw any cuts out. lol

Gold and roses
Hi
This was a quick and easy card. The rose edging is from
http://www.birdscards.com/
Now this card does make use of another card. The gold background is the back of another card and it is really shiny. I covered it all up on the inside with the same color cardstock that the card was made from because there was writing on the gold. The butterfly is really much more gold or cream but of course it photo'd sort of white. The gold stripes are peel offs.
Have a blessed day.

Sympathy cards x two
Hi
Two more sympathy cards. Using the same techniques as the swan sympathy card. The shadowing is not the cardstock but the light from a diffused window. I think if I could find cardstock like that it would be really lovely. I really must find a good light in this house for photos.
As usual if you click you can see the pic better.

Old lace doily and my roses
Hi
The doily has been laying around and getting yellow with age so I sprayed it with Perfect Pearls and layered a pink card behind it embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The roses are some I made and they were sprayed with Perfect Pearls. The leaves are from the SU bird punch. The pink lined envelope is just peeking out from behind.
An old Cowichan saying is, "if there is no mistake in the artists work, then it is not a true original." This card is original. :)

Sympathy card
Hi
I have no need for this type of card right now, thank goodness. However, I thought I could combine several techniques that I am trying to copy. You will have to click on the pic to see the detail.
This is a picture from my friend Gail, http://scrappintimes-gail.blogspot.com/
The techniques are from Chrissy at http://chrissys4cards.blogspot.com/
and
Jackie at http://craftdesigns.blogspot.com/
I have printed it on watercolor paper and popped it up with my own type of dimensionals. I run colored fun foam through the Xyron machine. That way I can match the color to the cutout or embellishment I am using.
Have a Blessed day.

Dogwood
Hi
I have been in love with dogwood flowers for a long time. There was an svg I downloaded long ago. Finally decided to try them. There were 3 tries and finally I got them small enough for a card. So you will probably see 2 more cards with them. Sorry I don't know whose svg it is. If it is yours please let me know so I can give you credit.
The background is just black card stock and the border is MS Vintage Floral. The branch is hard to see so click on the pic for a better view.
Have a Blessed day.

Triple time stamping in green
Hi
Yes, there have been a couple like this but with different flowers. This is SU stamp Creative Elements.
I stamped it on the card and then stamped another one and fussy cut it to put over the top one. Added some diamonds (or whatever they are called).
Have a Blessed day.

Trying three new things and a stag
Hi
Have you ever looked at a piece of dp and decided you didn't like it? That is what happened here.
I had this striped paper in a pack and didn't like it so thought I would practice making an envelope from it. When I had an envelope made it laid on the desk and it kept drawing my eye so I finally looked at the P.O.T.D. and saw my first attempt at combining a style of two ladies that I admire. I laid it on the envelope and thought hmmm that might work. The card and stag are all watercolor paper.
Now Juliet at http://ballpointbliss.blogspot.com/ is the inspiration for a printed mat; since I seem to only use plain matting.
The feathered picture is inspired by Jackie at http://craftdesigns.blogspot.com/
Of course, I am no where near her gorgeous work.
The border is inspired by Chrissy at http://chrissys4cards.blogspot.com/
These three ladies have inspired me so often to step out of my comfort zone and stretched my learning curve. Thank you to you all.
This is the envelope that inspired it all. The colors are shades of rust and not pink.

Flowering Christmas Tree
Hi
Such a cute little die cut from Memory Box.
I will add a sentiment down the side. I just don't have any right now or maybe just use it for a Thank you card for Christmas.
This is another little bit from the P.O.T.D. (pile on the desk for those who are new to my blog :) )
I have entered this in http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.ca/ Thanks to my friend Gail at http://scrappintimes-gail.blogspot.com/ who gave me a gentle nudge to enter. :)
Have a Blessed day.

Secret Garden and vellum
Hi
I played with some SU inks and their Secret Garden stamps and dies and vellum.
When the vellum flowers were done they just sat on top of the SU package for days. It kept drawing my eye so today I just stamped the flowers from the set as they were on the package and glued the vellum flowers on and added a little thanks stamp. Pretty simple but I think I like it.

Pink vellum flowers and embossed vellum card front
Hi
I am loving working with vellum. This card lacks a sentiment and can be used either way as I have shown in the photos.
The die is a Marianne Die. I used a white gel pen to outline the embossing on the back.
The envelope was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder called Victoria.
Punched some pink vellum for flowers with McGill petite petals flower punch, used the branch from SU bird punch and MS branch punch. Acouple of brads to hold it on the card stock and a few pearls for the center.
Have a Blessed day.

Whimsical swing card
Hi
This is my first swing card. I have been wanting to do one for awhile and the other day I came across a template by Penny Duncan. Just the very thing to get me started.
When you open the swing card it is a private message so I can't show it to you. I made this card for my grand daughter because her boyfriend is in college and they don't get to see each other that often.
I think I will do another one soon but a little more fancy.
Have a Blessed day.

Another (slightly different) vellum and stazon ink
Hi
This is done on Dollar Store vellum with a sort of cloud background. It was just the practice run before I stamped onto SU vellum. It turned out not too bad so I placed some pink cardstock behind it and made a note card of it. The SU vellum, of course, does a nicer job. The how to is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgMEkU_d3hE
The sentiment is SU Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set and the tag is from Cuttlebug. I also ran the envelope through half a folder so the embossing is only on the left side. Click on pic, better view. :)
Have a Blessed day.
