Birthday Card from scraps

Hi,

This is a birthday card for my very long time friend. She loves bright colors and bling. I was tidying up the craft room (a never ending job lol) and came across all the bits and pieces from different projects. Put them all together and here it is. My friend loves to sew and she is a great recycler too so I am sure she will appreciate the card. Sewed around the yellow cardstock. Love that stitch. Ran the cardstock through the Cuttlebug, one layer was Swiss Dots and the other one is Swirls. Added a couple of peel off butterflies.
The little roses are so much fun to make and I have bunches of them in different colors. I cut them out whenever I have a few scraps and the Cricut open and then sit and put them together while I watch T.V. with hubby in the evening.
I just haven't gotten the birthday sentiment on the card yet but it will probably be snuggled up to the green rose.
Have a Blessed day.

Box for grad flowers 2010

Hi,
Well the big day has come and gone. Now I just needed to make a box for my grand daughters corsage and her escorts boutonierre. I recently acquired the Martha Stewart score board. Wow it is so much easier than Scor Pal because it has all the little 1/16 slots. I wanted to make a box 4" x 6" inches. Once again Diane at Capadia Designs came to my rescue with measurements. Thanks Diane. I adjusted the sides a little so they would show the blue box underneath. With SCAL I cut out the butterfly and added some hard plastic for a window. Added some glue around the butterfly and some bling. Curled some of the cardstock to make little streamers. Cut out the mortar board just like the card I made for her and voila a pretty little storage box for her mementos of grad.
The fresh orchids needed replacing and I found some silk ones at Michaels in the discount bin for $1.00 (gotta like the price).
Have a Blessed day.
