The last of the Christmas cards

Hi
These are the last of my cards for this year.  The very cute rabbits are from Graphics Fairy.
Santa and sleigh are a die and the snowflakes are stickers.
Number three is a peel off for a window decoration from the Dollar Store.
The blue vellum poinsettia is made with an svg from Penny Duncan and colored with chalk and the background is my picture of the frost on my back porch window.
Finally here is  the little poinsettia fairy and I do believe she was from the Silhouette Store.
Hoping for a very Merry Christmas for everyone and a Happy New Year.
Have a Blessed day.

Snowflake and vellum

Hi
This is such a simple pretty little card.  There is vellum behind the snowflake. It could probably stand and have a tea light behind it.   Again, Myoriah at http://craftingfrugalway.blogspot.com/  came through with helping by fixing the Silhouette Store file for me.  Thanks Myoriah.
Have a Blessed day.

Frosty framed trees

Hi
With the really cold weather we had last week my back porch window had this gorgeous frosty pattern on it.  I thought it would make a lovely background for cards and it does.  The trees were done last year but I couldn't find a background I liked so they never got put together.  The santa sleigh is from Silhouette Store.
Have a Blessed day.

Bright Christmas cards

Hi
Two more cards from some of the P.O.T.D.  (pile on the desk).
No, I do not like them but the material was there and I didn't want to throw it out.
I am sure the paper boy won't care how flashy they are since they contain money.  lol
Have a Blessed day.

Snowy scene and rv

Hi
I have a little agreement with a friend of mine.  He helps me fix my car and I made him 20 of these little babies.  Good deal? I think so.
The fifth wheel and truck are thanks to my friend Myoriah  http://craftingfrugalway.blogspot.com/  ,  and the scene is thanks to Bird http://www.birdscards.com/snow-scene-card/
The snowflake stamps are not the best but they were all I had.
Have a Blessed day.

Update on Sadie

Hi
For those of you who follow me, here is another picture of Sadie.  I am happy to say that Sadie is no longer a foster cat, she is ours!!!!
The towel on the right covers up the air conditioner.  For those who know what our Alberta winter has been like you will understand the covering.  lol  I couldn't get past the snow drift to cover the outside of it so had to be satisfied with a towel on the inside.   Yes, I know, I should have covered it in the fall but life gets in the way sometimes.  :)
Have a Blessed day.

Christmas snowflake card

Hi
I am pretty sure I copied this from someone so if you see it please let me know and I will give you credit.  I had some stickers so I added them to the envelopes that I made with the SU envelope punch board.
I have made a start (finally) on the Christmas cards so they will be appearing here soon.  lol
Have a Blessed day.

This is The Princess, Sadie for short

Hi
It has been ever so long since I posted anything.  I know it is not crafts but I wanted to share with all my blogging friends our sweet little foster baby.  She is perhaps a little over a year old and she is just the sweetest little girl. Those are not her real names but we don't know what her name was.  This was only hours after she arrived.  I think Jim is taken with her, don't you?  I know I sure am.
I hope to get some cards made and posted one of these days before Christmas.  Bear with me.
Have a Blessed day.

Joys autumn birthday card

Hi
For those of you who follow me, you know how I love autumn so it should come as no surprise that I made an autumn card for my daughters October birthday.
Thanks Myoriah for helping me get the vertical birthday greeting to work.
The punch is an EK punch.
Envelope paper from the stash (and of course SU envelope punch board lol)
Have a Blessed day.

Christmas card with memory box die

Hi
Another quick card using Memory Box Flowering Christmas tree die.
Yet again, the SU envelope punch board to the rescue for a cool envelope.

The inside of one of the pop up love cards

Hi
This is the inside of the card http://whatwasoldisnewagain.blogspot.ca/2013/09/love-pop-up-card.html
As some of you remember I was trying to learn how to print and cut with the Cameo.  I figured it out (sort of) and here is the result.  The base that the sentiment is written on is actually a mottled yellow and it does match the card.  lol
Have a Blessed day.

One quick Christmas card

Hi
This is a Nellie Snellen folder.  I used a foil cardstock and the envelope is made from my stash using the SU envelope punch board.   It is silver but the sun was going down and so I didn't get a good pic.
I have been wanting to make a fall card with colored leaves but I will be unable to do that for a couple of weeks due to being away from my craft supplies.  (going away to celebrate a birthday and Canadian Thanksgiving).
Have a Blessed day.

Another pop up love card

Hi
Here is another love pop up card.  This one I blinged up a bit with stickers.  The spots don't seem to go with the outside paper but there is yellow in the dp and mauve so I took some of the stickers from the chandelier sheet and put them over the dots.  However, in the picture they just look like blobs but in real life aren't so bad.  I used a punch to add a little class to the front of the card.
Have a Blessed day.

Envelope box with SU envelope making board

Hi
Just loving that SU envelope making board.  It really was worth the price.  The how to is from http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2013/10/big-envelop-with-stampinup-envelop.html
It is 1 inch deep so holds quite a few note cards.
The note cards are ones I made earlier but I just wanted to see how many the box would hold.  It holds 4 very comfortably with the raised birds.
Have a Blessed day.

Autumn scene

Hi
Autumn is my favorite time of year.  I fell in love with this pumpkin scene last year and just had to bling it up this year; especially since I had those gorgeous glass leaves in my stash.   Thanks to Juliet I dug them out and voila here is my card.  The coloring is done with SU ink pads and a blender pen.
The envelope is matched to the cardstock and made with SU envelope maker.  This is a great tool and I know I will use it a lot and use up a lot of my paper stash now.
Have a Blessed day.

Welcome to your new home

Hi
This is a house svg file from http://www.birdscards.com/house-cards/.  I put lace for curtains, and little clouds and the welcome sign and slightly popped them up.  The path seems a bit wide and dark but I couldn't change it.  The lace flowers sit on a fence from a Cricut cartridge (sorry can't remember which one).  The little key charm was added last.  This is a blinged up version of the one I did in an earlier post.  I prefer the earlier version.
Have a Blessed day.

First Halloween card

Hi,
I am not into Halloween but there are those that are and so I will make a few cards just for them.
This is a file from Birds bendy cards  http://www.birdscards.com/house-cards/
The bats are from the site http://www.idiecut.com/
There are two pictures because the wonky one on the bottom shows the cloud vellum that I used and also shows the whole Halloween word.

Love pop up card

Hi
O.K. I have had a gentle nudge from 2 dear blogging friends (you know who you are !! Juliet and Curt )
to get making cards again so here is one I just made.  The file comes from http://underacherrytree.blogspot.com/
The polka dot paper is part of the library in the Silhouette Cameo (my brand new cutting machine).
The love insert is attached to the inside of some paper I have had for awhile and so don't know the name of it.  I added one of the gerber daisies I have in my stash.
When I figure out how to print and cut the fonts there will be a shape with the words "makes the world go round" attached under the word love.
Have a Blessed day.

New Home Welcome

Hi
My friend, Myoriah, moved into a new place a few months ago and I have just gotten around to sending her this card.  She has been so helpful sharing her knowledge, files and most of all her support.  Myoriah, you are such a lovely person and I am so happy you are my friend.  Her site is very interesting http://craftingfrugalway.blogspot.com/
This is an svg from http://www.birdscards.com/house-cards/

I am impressed......are you?

Hi
I think I am in love.  In love with my new Silhouette Cameo that is.
I have not had much time to play with it but the three projects I have done impressed me greatly.  The first picture is a file from http://www.birdscards.com/pennants-10/ cut with the Cricut Expressions.  The few squares that are out of the pendant had to be cut with an exacto knife.
The second picture is cut from the same file with the Silhouette Cameo.  Also used was the gorgeous linen cardstock from a lovely blogging friend, Chrissy at http://chrissys4cards.blogspot.com/.  The Cameo cut beautifully and left only a couple little pieces but they will just flick off.  I only left them so you could see the differences.
Many thanks go to my beautiful friend, Myoriah, for all her support.  Her site is here http://craftingfrugalway.blogspot.com/
I am so impressed and can hardly wait to try some more intricate cuts.
Have a Blessed day.

Lacey's 21st Birthday

Hi
My darling grand daughter turns 21 this month.  How did she get so old so fast?
Computer generated bicycle cardstock and I added the shapes with personal messages.  Popped it up on brown cardstock; lined the envelope with the same paper and added the young lady on the bike on the inside and added a personal poem.  No, she isn't a bicycle enthusiast but she meets life head on like a bike going full tilt downhill and always with a smile on her face.
Have a Blessed day.

Belly dancer

Hi
My friend who turned 80 last month has been an avid belly dancer for a few years.  She took it up when she became of retirement age.
The dancer is popped up on pop dots and matted onto Whisper White cardstock and then placed on Dollar Store holographic cardstock.  This pic was taken under very cloudy skies and so the colors do show up but they change a lot as the card moves.  There are even some mauves in  it.
The sentiment goes above the dancer.
I would have liked to have a wobbler behind the dancer but the wire I had didn't lend itself to a decent wobbler.  :(
Have a Blessed day.

I feel like a princess-----My bathroom reno

Hi
Just a short note to show you what 3 amazing people did in 10 hours.  My daughter and her fiance and my youngest grandson came to visit for the long week end.  They brought with them paint, and all painting tools and accessories.  Also towels, towel bars, shower curtain, light fixtures.  The walls had been stripped for a very long time and I just did not have the energy to do anything with them.  They cleaned the walls in preparation for painting.  It took 3 coats.  Even the vanity was a dark brown and they painted it.  The toilet had been wobbling for a year and they made it nice and sturdy again.
The light fixtures don't show up as clearly as I would have liked but they are 3 lights on each bar.
The picture above the toilet is a picture that a friend had taken and made into a gorgeous picture for me years ago.  Also that is the color white the whole bathroom is done in.
We had a lovely day out looking at one of our favorite spots in the mountains.  Unfortunately it was part of the June flood and what we knew as a lovely pond is now strewn with trees and stuff and where there was a pond there are several rivers.
It was an amazing and busy time from Thursday late afternoon to noon on Sunday.
Have a Blessed day.

Negative and holographic paper

Hi
This is one card that you will need to click on to see the pattern.  It was the negative from another project.  The background and woven stuff was some I had won.
Have a Blessed day.

What? No glitter.

Hi
My sweet blogging friend Myoriah http://craftingfrugalway.blogspot.com/ made this lovely label for me.  I made it a little bigger than I normally would have but I needed to get all the embellishments on it.  The little envelope has a note in it that says Happy Birthday.  It is loose so any sentiment could be put in there.  I cut some of the flowers from the dp and popped them onto the flowers on the paper.
Have a Blessed day.

Purple card and the butterfly is too

Hi
Here is another of http://www.birdscards.com/deep-edge-card-8/ files.  The butterfly really has mauve sparkles on it but the camera insisted it was blue.  Well, isn't purple part of the blue family?  lol

Peonies, poppies and a puppy

Hi
Just a wee note to show off the gorgeous peonies and poppies that grow in my yard.  I cannot say garden anymore as it is mostly grass.  I have dug out the poppies year after year and they still come back.  This year there are far more than I have ever had.  :)
This little guy is more than 10 years old and he lives across the street from me.  He loves to come visit me and get his little treat.  He stayed at my house for a week while his people were on holidays.  What fun he was but I was glad when he was able to go home.  My goodness he is very high maintenance but we loved having him.
I do have some cards on the go and they will get posted one of these days but in the meantime I wanted to share these pics.
Have a Blessed day.

Deep Edge Card and flowers

Hi
This is one of the free files that Bird so generously shares with the card making world.  I used a strip of the same mauve glitter on the bottom of the card as the Marianne Design medallion to give it some sparkle.  The roses on each side are black and purple, made by me.

Camera card

Hi
I have a blogging friend who does wonderful picture taking so I thought this would be an appropriate card for him.  His name isn't Michael as it says but I wanted to show where the sentiment could go.
My pictures aren't very clear but the second pic is to try and show you the bellows in front.   Inside the card there are pockets for pictures or whatever.
If you really want to see how it looks and how to do it here is the link.

Penny slider card

Hi
Such a fun little card.  It is 5" x 6" so it is a bit of an irregular shape.  The butterfly and rose are from my stash that I made awhile ago.  The gorgeous dp is covered up with the music paper but it is on the back of the card so some of it is showing.
Have a Blessed day.

Accordian fold and vine

Hi
This was such a pretty technique that I found on   http://shesasassylady.blogspot.ca/  under Gypsy Made Simple-Wedding Accordian Card.
I don't have a Gypsy but I thought I could make something similar on the Cricut Expression.
Sheila said she would try vellum next time to make the accordian pleating.  So rather than play with cardstock I went straight to SU vellum.  It works beautifully but is a lot of work.  I will have to score a bit more the next time.  Maybe it will go easier the next time I do it, which I certainly will.
The vine is cut with a die and glued on .  The inside needed something so I just used the negative from the heart border.  I ran the front panel through a Cuttlebug folder.
It is a gorgeous card and the only time consuming thing is the pleating.  Much prettier in person or maybe click on the pic.
Have a Blessed day.

Butterfly notecards

Hi
I needed a couple of note cards to give a friend as a small gift.  The top two are very soft mauve and the bottom one is quite a vibrant pink.  The butterflies are 3D peel offs except for the purple one; that is cut from an svg file I have and lots of stickles applied after running it through the Cuttlebug
folder.  The pink card had a white butterfly but I wanted it a little softer so I used some Perfect Pearls to color it.

A little clearer pic of the butterfly

Hi
Shaz, I took three photos outside today so you could see the butterfly better (the rain quit for awhile and the sun poked out for a couple of minutes).  The top and bottom photo is the true color of the foil card.  The middle photo is the true color of the butterfly.
Thanks so much for the comments.
Have a Blessed day.
