My first pyramage card

Hi

When I first started blogging and making cards I saw a pyramage card on a site.  I started blogging in late 2009 and I have wanted to do one ever since.  (procrastinate much?)

I have had these pics in my P.O.T.D. (pile on the desk for those of you who haven't seen my blog before) for a very long time.  I finally decided to do them in pyramage.  I found a diamond on free card kits site and put it into SCAL and cut it out.  With that I popped up the layers with pop dots.

Yes, I know the angel is on the slant. lol  Perhaps she is flying down to earth?

I don't care for the way it turned out but perhaps I should try a different paper instead of photos. Even though I am not happy with it I am posting it.  In order to see the cuts I guess clicking on the pic would be in order.

Have a Blessed day.

Tree seen through a Madison window die

Hi
There were 2 pieces of green cardstock in my SU card stock package.  Even though this shade of green is not my favorite color I really do like it now that I have worked with it.  Guess I am going to have to order more.  lol
The window die is Grand Madison from Poppy stamps.
The tree stamp is from SU Lovely as a Tree set.
The sentiment (when I need one) will be placed on the green Cuttlebug banner in gold letters.
I really like the tree set and probably will get a lot of use from the different trees in the set.
Have a Blessed day.

Triple time stamp tree card

Hi
What do you do when you make a big mistake?  You stamp a tree and fussy cut it and pop it up with pop dots !!
The card idea is one from Stampin with Frenchie also DOStamping with Dawn.
The tree stamp is SU Lovely as a Tree.  The bird is SU punch.  The ink is SU Old Olive.
I didn't want a regular banner for the sentiment so used the bird punch.  I think it will work. It is more visible in real life.
Have a Blessed day.

A vase of flowers

Hi
A little while ago I won a giveaway from Capadia Designs and this gorgeous paper was in there.
The folder is Victoria by Cuttlebug.
Flowers and vase from the stash.
The folder was a little short so I embossed two lines and when I decide what the card will be for I will add the sentiment under the vase.  There was such a tiny little strip, about an inch, of the gorgeous paper left so I put it on the inside.
Have a Blessed day.

Valentine or Birthday?

Hi
The folder is from Cuttlebug and it is called He loves me.
Another one of the scraps sitting on the desk for ever so long.  The lace with double sided tape and glitter was the technique I was trying out on the card.  It turned out nice but then the rest of the card didn't appeal to me.  So it laid there and this year I finally put it together.  All the embellishments are from the stash.  The gorgeous gold border is a MS cut from SU glitter paper.  That paper cuts so beautifully, whether by machine or in a die.
Have a Blessed day.

From a T-shirt to a card

Hi
Some things are just too good to throw away.  My husband had a T shirt with this on it and when the shirt wore out this skull was still good.  It laid on the desk for a year and then became this.
The background folder is one I used a couple of blogs ago.  The raised oval is a Nellie Snellen die (and one I lost part of and never found :(
I stuffed the skull with a bit of cotton to make it stand out and then put pop dots under as well to really make it stand out.
This is the inside.  It is an Apache Wedding blessing.
No matter where I tried to photograph the card the colors did not come out.  The skull has green in it but can only be seen if you click on the card.
Have a Blessed day.

Little penquin recycled Christmas card

Hi
Another recycled Christmas card.  I am trying real hard to make smaller cards, this one is 4.25" x 5.5".
The little penguin is from a received card.
The folder is Cuttlebug Elegant Ellipse.  I put pop dots between him and the card so it is a nice little frame.  The inside has blue paper as an insert and it hides the card.  A few peel off snowflakes.
Not much to it, but he is cute.
Have a Blessed day.

Recycled Christmas card and pretty folder

Hi
I have decided to try and make a few Christmas cards during the year and this colorful little tree has been laying there waiting for a home.
It was cut with Memory Box Flowering Christmas tree die from a gorgeous sparkly Christmas card.
The beautiful background is dry embossed with Cuttlebug Grace's frame.
Have a Blessed day.

Butterfly from photo paper

Hi
The butterfly has been languishing on the POTD and finally has come to rest on this card.
I found a multicolored glass window on line and printed it onto photo paper then cut out the butterfly with the butterfly die (probably Marianne Designs).
The folder is Elegant Wreath from Sizzix and it is A2 large.
The flourish is Fanciful Flourish (4.5" x 4") Cheery Lynn Design.
That's it for today.
Have a Blessed day.
