Quatrefoil and lace
Hi
Still cleaning up a lot of cuts from my desk. This is part of the quatrefoil svg from Christmas. The lace was a wee piece in the stash so I turned it into a flower. The background paper is from a huge stack my step daughter gave me. I love it and when I find a nice smoky blue butterfly I will probably put it on there. The centre of the "flower" is a stick on and it is the same color as the card. Of course, the camera doesn't catch that. lol To see the true colors click on the card. The background paper is gorgeous.
I lined the envelope with one row of the svg and laid a piece of the lace under it. Cute.
Have a Blessed day.

Light house
Hi
Wow it has been awhile since I posted. I have been working on a project with the owner of "our" Cricut and so can't post anything from that project until mid Feb. But today I took a few minutes to make a great card with the help of an svg from Alice at cute-cutz.blogspot.com. This was so quick and easy and I think I will make a whole stack of them. The blue is such a pretty sparkly paper, it can be seen better if you click on the card. I have a sentiment in mind but wanted to post the card so didn't take time to make the sentiment. Thanks Alice for all your great svgs.
Have a Blessed day.

Grandsons Birthday (23)
Hi
This is a cute card for my grandsons birthday; he is 23---how did I get that old? lol
The svg is from http://cute-cutz.blogspot.com/p/contact-me.html. Thanks Alice. Love her svgs. You should go to her blog and check out her work.
The sentiments I wrote and computer generated them on the clouds.
That was about it.
Have a Blessed day.

Hearts and Lace
Hi
As you all know, I like different folded cards. I found this on Dawns Stampin' Up Studio, Jan. 12, 2012. I did tweek it a bit to suit my own taste.
I put two strips top and bottom of two sided glue on my lace (which I have tons of)and placed it on the cardstock and ran it through the CB. When I took it out of the folder the glue is still sticky and I added some fine stickles and rubbed it into the lace. Use as many strips of glue as you would like the width of the color to be.
Added the embellishments and that was it. I didn't line the envelope yet but I may do that later when and if I cut some more hearts. lol The card is propped in a flower frog in order to hold the small flap shut. There is a sheet of white paper on the inside to write a note on. Also if I find just the right Valentine sentiment I will add it.
Have a Blessed day.

Valentine #2
Hi
As I have said before, when I see an svg or use Cricut cartridge that I like I usually cut it out to see what it is going to be like. Unfortunately in the POTD (pile on the desk) there are a lot of cuts with no names from where I got it. Sorry, so if you see a cut that is yours please let me know and I will give you credit.
This card has a lot of POTD stuff on it. The hearts came from the Moroccan tile svg that I did. The sentiment ribbon is a Cuttlebug folder wiped with a bit of walnut stain off my fingers. The little key etc. is a peel off from the Dollar Store attached to the sentiment ribbon with a wee little brad.
Lined the envelope and done.
Have a Blessed day.

First Valentine 2012
Hi
First Valentine of 2012 uses several pieces from the pile on the desk, from now on called POTD lol.
The folder from Marianne Design #DS0908 was used and has been tucked away waiting for just the right time to be used. The lace was a flower I was experimenting with. The hearts are the negatives from my card "-and another one lol". The negatives had four rounded "petals" so I just cut off two and voila there were my hearts!! Added a few hearts to the inside and the envelope and called it done.
Have a Blessed day.

Mountain scene
Hi
Just a simple scene using two Stampscapes. I "borrowed" the walnut stain idea from Sheree at http://vancouverislandcraftjunkie.blogspot.com/. I am not sure the red works but I needed to get it onto a card so there it is.
Have a Blessed day.

I would love to enter this card at Craft a Scene but unfortunately I don't know how.

Tea Time
Hi
Have you ever seen a card and thought I need to do that one? Well that is what happened when I saw this on She's a Sassy Lady. http://shesasassylady.blogspot.com Thank you Sheila for the time you spent helping me.
The only problem with that was Sheila was doing it on Gypsy. So of course I had to try and figure it out. Been meaning to try and learn how to join letters to the edge of a card anyway. So I decided SCAL should be able to do it. I will not tell you how long or what the process was but suffice to say by the end of getting the card to cut I was frustrated. I managed to weld the letters to the card top but had to cut the sides by hand.
So without spending more time on that I used a teapot svg from The Quilling Patch and a tea cup svg from Penny Duncan Creations. Cuttlebug Swiss dots and some bling and the tea bags. Printed the sentiment on the computer and added a tea pot to the envelope and that was that.
If I do this again (which I probably will) I will use a different font to make fatter letters; and yes I know the tea cup on the inside is crooked on the saucer. lol
Have a Blessed day.

Just a quick and cheeky card
Hi
My daughter and I often send funny little things back and forth in the mail to help with morale so today someone sent me an email with this saying on it. Just had to make a card. Click on the card if you can't read the saying.(that is the cheeky part lol)
Polka dot paper layered on aqua cardstock on white cardstock. Wrote the sentiment in SCAL with Amy Chomos pens. Layered that on Penny Duncan Creations shaplies svg and some of her svg ivy. Added a few little butterflies on the corners and used the negatives of them for the inside. Lined the envelope with polka dot paper and done.
Have a Blessed day.

-and another one lol
Hi
Yes Christmas is over but there was one more card on my desk that I wanted to post. It is a very busy one but it utilized a few things that I had on the desk while making Christmas cards. The white cardstock was covered with a soft green print of music sheet, then an svg (sorry I don't remember whose) cut from flocked paper, then I used a piece of Christmas ribbon. Framed it with a braid punch from EK and flocked paper and added one of my handmade poinsettias. The envelope is lined with music sheet paper. Can't play a note but am in love with music sheets and notes. lol
Have a Blessed day.
Myrna
p.s. As usual; if you recognize any of the cuts I used please let me know and I will credit them with it.
