Don't they look pretty - but

Hi
Here is a picture of the container all those crabapples came in. Yes it was washed out. lol Beside the pail are the three (3) jars of jelly they made. My aren't they pretty? Yep it would have been lovely but they didn't jell. So we now have crabapple syrup.
Some more plums!!! OK so I went out and bought a canner just so I could can the rest of those plums. Here is the result.
Now I am going attempt one more canner of plums and I think I will even get brave and throw in one jar of apples just to see what happens.
This is the result of not canning in 30 years !! One gets out of practice.
This post really is for Gail and Curt who I know will appreciate the humour in it. Eventually I will too. Perhaps the next post should be a card???
Have a Blessed day.
Myrna

OK, here comes the pampered city boy in me. . .I thought crab apples were sour or bitter. . .I had no idea that they were even edible! Since I'm in the Halloween spirit, the first thing I thought of when I saw them in the jar is that they look like eyeballs in jars of blood! LOL Now, doesn't that make them sound so tasty????? MMMMMMMMWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I made blueberry jam that didn't jell, so I use it for syrup, still yummy :)
