Santa and sleigh

Hi,
Thanks to our wonderful Bird at Birds Cards here is another of her  files that she shared for free.  The blue one has embossing and is raised and the red one is just a flat card.  Both cards were made in a big hurry as the lady wanted a card to take to Mexico with her for a friend of hers.

Two more birthday cards

Hi,
October has a lot of birthdays of people I know.  Here are two I made for the men.  I also made a pink one with the pop up happy birthday.  The pop up is from Shirley's Cards.  The Happy birthday balloon is from Laurie Whitlock.

A gift and a card

Hi,
October is a month of birthdays for a lot of people I know.  So beside hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for 12 I had birthday cards for 6 to make.  While I was at it I made this little box which contained 2 decks of cards in a neat leather case for my crib playing friend.  We have a "friendly" challenge going on and I have not played for at least 30 years but have successfully skunked him a couple of times so I wanted a fun gift for him.  It seems this little card got my mojo in gear and I can hardly wait to get the rest of my craft room "decluttered" and start on some more cards.  The little skunk is Flower and I took it from the internet.  The box was made from directions by Donna Griffiths at Stampin'up.com.
The cheeky inspector in the second frame is my cat Sadie.

Happy Birthday by Shirley's cards

Hi,
This is such a beautiful file.  It is from http://shirleystemplates.blogspot.com/2016/06/rose-topper-freebie.html
I love Shirley's files because they cut so clean and are so gorgeous. Please pop over to her blog and see some of the fabulous work she does.   This file also has the plain topper with no sentiment.  I have several colors I want to cut this card from.  I used a scalloped framelit circle from SU Sizzix for the card base.
The white background is a beautiful shimmery card stock (which is difficult to see in the photo ) that I was fortunate enough to get free and it cuts with ease.  I did need to make two passes with my Cameo but I think my blade could be getting dull.  Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the name of the lovely lady who sent me the card stock.  I will post it if I find it again.

"Bee-Happy" Birthday

Hi,
Short and sweet.
I needed a card for my grandsons birthday.  I am sorry the colors don't show up as they should.  (They did in the camera when I looked at it lol).
The background is brown and the cutting file is from Birds Blog.  It is Card Cover 12 from 2014 and the bee is from her cutting files also and I believe it is just called bee.  I scaled it down to fit the card.  The cover is in yellow.  The inside is simple with a bee and the words, it's your birthday Michael.
Have a blessed day.

Easter card with lattice and butterfly

Hi,
I love lattice and butterflies so when Shirley posted her freebie I was in 7th heaven.  http://shirleystemplates.blogspot.com/2016/03/lattice-card-freebie.html
This is my take on her file.  I know the colors are hard to see as they are so soft.  I used the shaving cream technique for the butterfly. I also really like this fold.
See Beth, I finally did make something with the shaving cream technique.  LOL

Great grandsons first birthday

Hi
Our great-grandson was born 9 weeks premature but is now a healthy, happy one year old.  The sentiment is by Images by Heather and I raised it up on pop dots for a bit of interest.  Not much else to say about this card.  The polka dot background was from another card and the paper that the sentiment is on was in the stash and I don't know by whom.

Masculine Birthday Card s-i-l

Hi,
The gold embossing is so hard to catch on film.  There is a meadow in soft green between the mountains and the cabin scene.
Stamped with Versa Mark and gold embossing powder.
Pretty basic.
Actually the mountains were an after thought, so the next time I will stamp the mountains first and then the cabin scene.
The nice part of being a crafter is we are always learning from our mistakes.  LOL

Shirt collar card and tissue paper technique

Hi
This shirt collar card is all the rage right now so decided to give it  try.  The back ground paper is actually green.  The quatrefoil under it is tissue paper all scrunched up and then glued to cardstock.  The butterfly is cut from a shaving cream technique piece of card.  I had to use a blue background for the card so the tissue paper wouldn't get lost on the lace background.
Pretty simple but fun.

Log cabin masculine birthday

Hi,
A very simple masculine birthday card.  The stamp is from Inkadinkado in 2013.  I used Versa Mark and then heat embossed with Ranger Queen's gold Royal Satin embossing powder.
The photo corners are from the Dollar Store.  The sentiment is a peel off, and the border is gold from an old Christmas card. The background paper is brown card stock but it shows black here.  :(
I then used a Distress Ink for the envelope with the stamp.
