Butterfly tea bag folding and twisted easel card

I saw a twisted easel card on http://bevscrafts.blogspot.com/
and decided I needed to try it.
This card is only 4" x 4". I started with white cardstock. Layered the front with blue cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug folder. Added a nice layer of wrapping paper with corners punched and then added a piece of lovely lace from my stash. Added a square doily punched with Blue Hill punch Tweet, Tweet.The tea bag fold was my embellishement. On the inside I used the pretty wrapping paper and a little butterfly popped up with a pop dot. I lined the envelope with the same wrapping paper. That was it for me. A fun little card.

My first, but not last, easel card

As I have said before, I love to try and do different shaped cards and so it was time to try an easel card.
I actually cut it out of the burnt orange because I don't like that card stock and so if it didn't work I wasn't going to be too upset. So of course I had to try and accent it so found some brown shiny paper that I had in the stash. Printed the picture from Graphics Fairy on photo paper and trimmed with some old lace I have in my huge stash. Found a butterfly in the stash and mounted it on pop dots and a spellbinder die. Guess if you want to see the verse you will need to click on the pic. It didn't come out as clear as I had hoped.
That's it for my first try and I will do some more now that I found out how easy it is.

Thanks Tim Holtz-winter roses

Besides gorgeous projects Tim Holtz took a gorgeous picture of an old wagon in a snowy field. It was on his post December 2010. I fell in love with it. Tim so graciously gave me permission to use his photo on my card.
I cut the window from an old Christmas card and then cut the same window on the Cricut on cardstock. The frame is from hhttp://imagesbyheatherm.wordpress.com/. I then placed the photo behind this with pop dots and layered another layer of cardstock on the inside with foam two sided tape so it was really popped. I am afraid you will have to click on the picture to see the photo better. There are two photos of the card because I think you can see the wagon better in one. (photography still leaves something to be desired lol).
The ivy around the frame was Penny Duncans svg and the little wispy leaves are Martha Stewart punch. The winter roses are little ones I made and, of course, Stickles. The ribbon was some from the Dollar Store.
So that was it for me.

A little feather, a little flower and a bit of ribbon

This ribbon was destined for a card last year but never made it. Finally I grabbed white card stock and embossed it with (what else) Victoria Cuttlebug folder. Tied the ribbon around the panel, added the wee rose colored with chalk to match and tucked a couple of feathers behind the rose and that's it for me.

Challenge #18 Lace card code RRR18

I have a wonderful stash of gorgeous lace and decided to try and use some of it up by entering a challenge at http://reasonableribbon.blogspot.com/
This card is 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", a little big but I wanted to be able to show the whole pattern.
The pink might not be everyones choice but this was going to be a little different card so---.
I layered the lace on pink card stock. Made a medallion from a Blue Hill Punch (love that punch). Cut one of the flowers from the lace and put white cardstock behind it and fussy cut the both of them. Then I added another piece of lovely fragile lace in a flower and put a big pearl stick-on in the centre. In real life the little white lace flower shows much better. I used the Blue Hill punch as an edge and placed a burgundy strip behind it and that was it for me.

Red and White

I entered this card in http://bettybeesbuzz.blogspot.com/. The card is really white and red, not the yellowish tone you see. The sunlight wasn't being very good to me that day. lol
