Birthday Wallet

Hi,
I really needed an idea for my grandsons birthday which falls on June 16 and the year he was born he was born on Father's Day.
As I was looking at the sites I follow I was pleased to see a Father's Day card by Nicole of http://canadiannickelscrapn.blogspot.com/ . It was perfect for my masculine birthday card.
I didn't have any linen looking card stock but had recently picked up this textured heavy paper at, you guessed it, the Dollar Store. I wanted to use sewing on it so instead of gluing it I just sewed it altogether. There are, of course, a few little meandering stitches but that's O.K..
The Cowichan people knitted beautiful sweaters and they used to say, "if there are no mistakes, then it is not an original". So------this is an original. lol
Have a Blessed day.
Myrna

Myrna, this wallet is stunning! It makes me wish I embossed mine! Thank you so much for adding your amazing wallet to my link:)

And I love your quote. I'm an Islander and my hertitage is the Cowichan Band...among other First Nation Bands. I feel a little homesick:(

I love this. I always have trouble making something for a man. You really out did yourself. I will have to someday try this. I do not have a sewing machine. If I only want to sew on paper, what type of sewing machine would you suggest.

My granddaughter has one of those little plastic ones from the craft store, but we can ever keep it threaded.

oh my gosh, the texture is perfect. Here in Michigan we say the Amish had a practice of one wrong stitch because it was wrong to be perfect ... guess it is all a matter of where you live ...

Fantastic project.
